whoa....whoa.... steve jobs was a visionary! obvi.

so.....i took the above picture in herald square at macy's. moments later i realized my phone was gone. i didn't panic because this happens about nine times a day. but, after searching the usually spots...pockets, stroller, hand, i started to panic! I retraced my steps (several times) from macy's to h&m.....nothing! then i met colton at the subway station and he got me really freaked out talking about email and all of our pictures we hadn't uploaded of lady lola. OUI VEY!

we went home and colton tapped into the magic of the apple "find my phone" technology. (thanks to casey's advise) we tracked the phone back to herald square in an irish pub. colt headed back to the city but couldn't find the phone or the culprit. he came back we locked the phone and set off the alarm (amazing...it's like the minority report) the next morning we tracked the phone and it was all the way in the middle of jersey! we could even see the house it was in! we called the cops and they went to the house, asked the guy for it, and he handed it over! from there we had to rent a car and take a long drive to jersey. but, the town was absolutely charming and apparently fellow bingham's reside there! this handsome man sure is patient with me!

the east coast really is magic in the fall! this weekend (after colt had an 80 hr work week) we rented a car, and just drove north. the leaves were spectacular! we drove along the hudson river and stopped at sleepy hollow....ooooooh.....lo really was freaked out the whole time we were there, it was so much fun and so halloween! then we went to dia:beacon a really amazing art gallery. on the way home we went to the most amazing place....storm king! breathtaking art in an even more beautiful setting.

Lo has spent the last month in Santa Clara without her Pop.....he has started a job in New York City and it has been quite the process to find an apartment! But, he finally found one and we will be on our way there in a couple of weeks. We have had to keep Lola pretty busy so she wouldn't miss her dad too much.

we went up to st. george last weekend and met my friend rashelle, her sweet baby caroline, and calli. it was a perfect weeekend. caroline and lola loved each other....and yes, lola is bigger than caroline and two months younger. we must also mention that lo met a milestone while there and can officially sit on her own!

we enjoyed the weather and as you can see in the pic of lola sleeping, she spent far too much time in the baby bjorn......i hope her legs will go back together.

This little lady is mistaken for a boy all the time! I know parents are blind, so even though she is so pretty to me maybe she looks a little masculine. But, who dresses their "son", as she was referred to at church, in a sparkly red DRESS and a bow in her hair. She got the boy thing in both of these outfits. We don't get it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for. It was the perfect weekend for us to bless our Lola love! We did it at my parents house in Santa Clara. Colton did a beautiful job and it was so great to be surrounded by family.

we had no idea that traveling home from utah to california on a sunday, let alone a holiday weekend, is just plain stupid. but, obviously a lot of other people didn't know that either.

after a grueling 2 hours from vegas to prim and a twenty minute gas line, the flashing lights of the whiskey pete pet friendly hotel at $19.99 a night seemed like heaven.

once again we were fools. we are sure that there aren't fleas in heaven, at least ones that don't bite. poor pup.

dreams came true this week. we grooved to chase's pack leader, m.i.a. she is amazing!

moby & ernie submitted to theirs, cesar milan aka the "dog whisperer." cesar is amazing! friends were everywhere, we even found one of our two legged buds, dan davis. he was there for "work," truth be known he is a closet dog lover.
it was suuuuper hot, but the pools and water bowls saved the day. we were so excited to find that ernesto, the dad terrified of dogs had put the event together. (fellow d.w. fans, you know the episode....the one where cesar gives louis away! p.s. louis was there & ernesto is in the pic with the pack leader.) it was a miracle to see him with all of the dogs. we got to talk to him, he was taken with ernie. as were the movie scouts who asked him to stop by for an audition! haha two words: calm & assertive

a "PACKed" weekend

this memorial weekend was packed with fun and our friends from utah, the packs. love a good pun. they came down for a visit and we did so many fun things! we went to the beach, the getty (which was beautiful!), and a rockin' memorial day concert with one of our very favorites, little dragon.a tram takes you to the top of a mountain to reach the getty. the building was a little like i would imagine the c.k. will be. floating, white, crazy flowers, orderly. loved it.

here we are with our friend louisa and her adorable puppy. we met her on the street before we grooved to little dragon. we had quite a chat. heather's face says it all. the pack's had to humor me. i just couldn't stop holding that pup. i offered louisa $50 for her. she had to turn me down even though she needed the money. she is her best friend after all.

long time no blog! we have been all over the place. we headed home for a little bit and got to see everyone, thank goodness! then, from there we went to new york with colt's mom and sis. we had such a good time. new york is the funnest city around. colt's family are huge yankee fans (to put it lightly) and they wanted to check out the new stadium and see some games. we ate delicious treats and enjoyed being out in the city. colt and i stayed a few extra days and were able to hang with some art center people and spend time at the many wonderful museums. we also had so much fun at home and got to bring calli back to "cali" with us. sweet pun, i know. she is doing an internship at kelly wearstler design this summer and now we have a little piece of home for a few weeks.

the fam came to town! we had such a great week. we even got to see don and joanie at the same time. we laughed our heads off, ate ourselves to death, and spent money we don't have. we went to the jimmy kimmel show and saw heidi klum and the rock. they were both even more beautiful in person. we were able to get a pretty good view from the front row! (that is what you get for having a beautiful sister, the p.a. was crushing on her-thanks cown.)

i never thought i would get to spend new years eve on bourbon street, but grandma joyce makes dreams come true. she took the whole family down to louisiana to cheer on our undefeated utes to a bowl game victory. (don't worry dad, i still love the aggs even though they don't win.) we had so much fun with the family in new orleans. the city has a lot of charm. we cruised the mississippi, went to a few prospect 1 art galleries, saw some great architecture and weird people. we didn't however seen brangelina, unfortunately. i would recommend visiting there to anyone, and if you can't make it there is always new orleans square at disneyland. the beignets are almost as good. thanks again grandma!

long time no blog! i loose touch with pretty much everything when we go home. i have got my family and the movies, what more could a girl need? we were able to go home for like a month!!! it was the best. here are some pic's to prove it.

as we found ourselves in the return line at walmart late last night surrounded by an allstar line up of shoppers around us, we anxiously looked to the registers to gauge our time, when we got sucked in to the most awkward situation ever. i don't know what went wrong for this rock and roller, but gel-part made some sort of error and rocker was not happy about waiting for a manager to come correct the problem. their angry and blank stares crossed, ricocheted of the three-quarter carpeted walls and right into our faces.

we had so much to be thankful for this year! we had our very first feast in l.a. and our families came up! my mom showed me some of her magic cooking and was such a sport in my tiny 1930's kitchen.

other than that, everything was so appetizing! we had so much fun eating on our assortment of chairs in our little living room. we were so grateful that our friends mary and jake spent the holiday with us!

in fact, we ate so much we were sick! the girls decided to do an exercise video after. we were too full to move gracefully, or really at all. but, we laughed so hard we had to have burned some calories!

there has been a long standing joke about me and the doogster. i have been to regis and kelly twice. i love them. i got so excited both times to see a fun celeb. who can i count on not once, but TWICE.....neil patrick harris. one of the dullest and disappointing stars. well, last night colt and i went to a couple of art shows. who should be right behind me......DOOGIE. why? why? why not the beckhams?! (obviously not the beckhams because we were in culver city, we will never be where they would be) it got better. after colton and i had our budget friendly dinner at inn & out, we thought we would splurge on desert.....amazing pudding and totally worth it!

but sitting behind us was the child star of roseanne. i don't even know his name. you all know who i am talking about. the night of the 90's child stars. the galleries were really cool though. we went to shepherd ferry's studio (he did the obama hope poster.) i thought it was really cool. here are some of the show.

a light fantastic

and fantastic it is! colt has a materials class this term. for one of his projects he decided to make a light table. i have always wondered how any of these kinds of things are built. it was amazing to see colt create this beautiful table. he made the box, spun the wood on a lathe, stained and painted the legs, wired the electrical, sanded the acrylic, then tada........a light table. it is really cool looking and worth the house smelling like home depot for a week.

we spent the weekend with our dearest friends......... mary and jake carter. we are so grateful these two are in southern california with us. we had a lot of fun in newport. we did a little shopping at fashion island, ate some nummy food, and watched a beautiful sunset from the balboa beach colt titled this photo "technology." please blow up for full effect.

we were so excited to go to the breaders cup, but more excited to have don and joanie in town. they spoiled us rotten! colton had been planning to research the horses in anticipation for the big event, but luckily for us don and joanie are experts themselves. it was a beautiful day. santa anita was in her prime. we even got to sit at our own table with an umbrella. the horses were stunning. even more stunning were colton's winnings. he had decided the night before to put some money on 'desert code' whose jockey was dressed in a green shirt with a big toad on it. it was the long shot and we all thought he was crazy, but the joke was on us when the $2 bet on the 32 to 1 odds came in first place. we had so much fun, come back soon.

reality check

so, this guy came and spoke at my school the other day. he has his own design studio in new york and he is kind of a big deal in the motion graphics world. at the end of his great speech, he had some of the upper division students stick around for a challenge. i was fascinated by that idea so i stuck around. he gave this challenge and wanted to see storyboards and animatics the next morning at 10:00am (he gave the challenge around 9:30pm). so i thought, why not try? it could only be a good experience, and worst case scenario, if it doesn't go so good, i'm only in motion 1 and at least i tried? WRONG... not to go into too much detail because i know that most people become board with long blog entries. suffice it to say, he hated my idea and didn't see the connections and i was the only one out of the eight or nine students there who got pretty negative feedback. on top of that there were a handful of smirks and laughs from some of the people behind me. the words of kenny rogers came to mind 'you got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run'. so it was one of those things. i decided to fold my cards and after that i called it a day, blew of my next class and came home and took a nap. these two sketches above were the first two of my storyboards sketches.

well, our very own d.j. got another gig. chase played a really fun fashion show last weekend. it was fashion week in l.a. and a really cool boutique called rojas asked chase to do their music. our good friend jose works there. he not only hooked us up with the fashion show, he hooks us up with great clothes! the show was super fun and had some killer stuff. the models were amazing and i would die to be able to rock a walk like they do!
p.s. chase was a huge hit! when he started playing "rock the boat" by aaliya the crowd went crazy!

my folks came down for a visit last week. i have been crying since they left........i am not kidding. we had so much fun. the night they came into town we went to the julieta venegas concert at the nokia theater. it was a cultural event. we first ate at taco nazo, we were the only people not from mexico. that theme continued into the concert, julieta is a mexican musician. she doesn't sing in english and my mom and i don't speak spanish. we just make up words to her songs, and this didn't stop us from singing at the top of our lungs.
the fun did not stop there. lucky for us it was dollar day at the santa anita race way. lance could not have been happier. everyone got a hot dog, drink, and ticket for a dollar. we were also able to see a statue of our relative georgie wolf. he was a jockey that road sea biscuit. my mom put a dollar on atticus jack, the horse with the curly hair, and he won!
our luck stopped there since we had to leave for the bonnie hunt show in culver city. my mom has always been a big bonnie hunt fan. it was really fun to see her show and meet her. she was a hoot in person.
what bingham visit would be complete without a stop at disneyland? there were halloween decorations everywhere. it looked spooktacular! here is a photo of why i need my mom here, they remember everthing, even plastic bags for splash mountain!

we found barn yard animals in the middle of downtown los angeles! last weekend we got to go to the l.a. county fair. it was huge!!! and the amount of food was unimaginable! we ate ourselves to death. chase enjoyed a smoked turkey leg, colt and i had balboa bars and grilled corn. if you want something deep fried this is the place for you, they even had deep fried avocados. we felt a little like pigs ourselves.

i fell in love with this little guy. i wanted to take him home, but i found out he will weigh 400 lbs. when he grows up. needless to say, colt said no.

last night colton and i got to go to dancing with the stars!!! it was so much fun. we got to sit right behind bruce and kris jenner along with kourtney kardashian. love them! unfortunately, we also saw kim get the boot, but at least we got to see her boot...tay ........amazing. we got to get all dressed up and see everything in action. i am obsessed with t.v.
after a most fabulous show, colt and i walked around the gove and enjoyed an ice cream. it was an enchanting evening.

what an eventful weekend! our friends the johnson's came up........they are wonderful. we are so grateful that chase went to spain and met tim, because then we met tim and nicole! and now we are all in california together. we had so much fun! we ate, shopped, and hung out in melrose for hours! not by choice. the saab once again started acting funny. next thing we know colton is running his little heart out looking for a service station. then he returned with a little treasure named art acosta, a mechanic who saved the day! the johnson's were such troopers, we sat on that corner waiting for kim kardashian all night!

the next morning we went into old town pasadena for breakfast and a stroll. it turns out yoko ono has an installation with a handful of trees where people can leave wishes on. we spent a while looking at wishes and even made a few ourselves. rumor has it that all the wishes will be put in a time capsule and stored somewhere in iceland. weird.

then the next day my man and i enjoyed his birthday gift. i got colt tickets to the beck show at the hollywood bowl. the venue was gorgeous! an outside ampatheater where you can bring in picnics and enjoy the outdoors. beck was mindblowing! we also got to groove to mgmt and spoon. we were afraid we weren't going to see any of it because once we got through the first gate our tickets seriously disappeared!!! after a frantic search they reissued us tickets and the others are still a mystery?! but we rocked out pretty hard. beck did it all. he worked it out with the l.a. philharmonic and then a simple beat mixer.

the next morning was so wonderful. my amazing friends dan and nicole blessed their beautiful baby presley. that baby is so sweet and so beautiful. it was our first meeting and i fell in love. nicole is the most natural mom. she looks like she has been doing it for years. and on top of that she made the most delectible brunch! i ate myself sick. the pesto chiken salad and homemade cupcakes were too good to resist.
after the lovely morning we headed over to visit tim and nicole at their new condo, then headed over to three arch beach. who also happended to be at three arch breach that day... the beach boys playing a private concert? unreal. as they sang "i wish they all could be california girls" i couldn't agree more. both nicoles and there sweet friends couldn't be more wonderful.

last week in one of my classes, we had an assignment to create a u.s. stamp. the project was kind of a warm up to start off the term in sort of a light hearted way, playing off of the traditional nature of the postal system. i had the idea of doing a series of pee wee herman stamps. i have always been a huge fan of mr. reubens, and although he was blacklisted for his inappropriate actions of the past, i feel like the universe has missed out on some potential greatness by shunning him from popular media (not to mention all the other perverts and infadels who still are widely accepted?) so after pretty much completing my stamp, chase got a call from a friend from ygg, who invited us to the hollywood forever cemetery where a screening of pee wee's big adventure would be shown. (¿coincidence?) i wasn't going to let anything get in my way. tara wasn't totally sold on the idea, but thought it would be interesting and concented for my sake. we got to the cemetery, which happens to be the final resting place of Cecil B. DeMille, Jayne Mansfield, Rudolph Valentino, Victor Fleming and Douglas Fairbanks to name a few and it was packed with people and thier blankets and picnic dinners. a d.j. played some music and then as the m.c. introduced the movie, non other than paul reubens stepped on stage and spoke for about ten minutes. his co-stars dotie and samone came on stage and what a joy it was. the movie was great and we all left glad we spent the evening at the cemetery.

.......and what a cute birthday boy he is! yesterday colt turned 25! we had a really fun day. the night before we celebrated with our dearest friends, mary & jake. they bought colton the most delicious dinner at houstons in pasadena. the next day we headed down to santa monica and enjoyed the sea breeze along with the many different variety acts on the promenade. it takes all kinds to make the world go around, that is for sure. colton has a favorite design bookstore down there called hennessey + ingalls. they have an amazing selection! then we went to this awesome theater called the arclight and enjoyed a little dinner and a movie. i love my boy so much! he couldn't be cuter, sweeter, or more talented. here is a little of his work.......finally!

summer break

we finished work and school for the summer and decided it was time to go back to utar and spend some time with family and friends. it was a nice trip. we also happened to make it to the oregon coast with the francis family. we took the pups and there were four others (six dogs total) and we had a good time. the dogs loved the beach, we loved the cheese factory and now we are back in california and back to the grind.

i am just pleased as punch! my handsome husband has completed his second term at art center. i couldn't be more proud! colt worked so hard and did so well. we went to the graduation show this weekend and there was some amazing work. colton's work is pretty amazing as well. they asked to submit his type book into the gallery!

well, my dream of owning two dogs became a reality a week ago. i love dogs!!! the search has been a difficult one. about six months ago i learned the horror of puppy mills. i found the most powerful website. (if you are brave, and thinking about buying a puppy from a pet store please check out prisonersofgreed.com) one night colton heard whimpering coming from the back bedroom, he came in to find me sobbing in front of the computer monitor. i was bound and determined from that point on that we had to rescue a dog. the only problem is i have horrible allergies and require some special breeds. (colton said it is a blessing i am so allergic to the average dog or else i would have brought home every dog that was going to be euthanzed in l.a. county) so after some very sad trips to animal rescue fairs, it turns out this little guy was right under my nose! a guy from my work had rescued ernie. he and his wife just had a baby and it was too hard with this little hyper allergenic pup. so now he is mine! moby has a new, adorable, best friend!

p.s. you can't tell in this picture, but he has the most beautiful green eyes! he is a heart breaker.

"ellen, were gonna have some fun today, let's give a little love away!" boy, is her theme song right!!! i have never had so much fun, or felt so much love! ellen is the very best! with all of my exclamations you can tell that i am excited, but you could also see that from the video. ellen is so pretty in real life and smells so nice! it was seriously one of the funnest things i have ever done. calli, my mom, colton and i grooved and laughed, calli even cried tears of joy!

oh what a catching song american idol has! so colton and i got tickets to go and watch one of my favorite shows of all time..........i love american idol, always have always will. we got to go to the final performances of both the davids. i will say, david archeluta sounded even more amazing live. i had chills running up and down and i had to fight back tears. we had a lot of fun. we got to see all the judges and old ryan seacrest up close and personal (i love him.) we did however have to wait in line for like seven hours! i have the most adorable, patient, and sweet husband around. thanks for humoring me babe..... xoxo
there were all kinds waiting in that line. a big group behind us had met on a david cook forum on line. david cook brought big, little, old, and young all together. the only problem is that they were very anxious to get in and kept crowding sweet colton!
this cool cat made the wait bearable! this kid is probably the funniest kid i have ever seen. he made a poster that said ryan + simon forever. his clothes and hair were out of this world!

a mother's day visit

my sweet, sweet, family came down to see me again. i am so grateful to have been able to see them as much as i have. it is hard to be away from them, especially because we have so much fun when we are together! we had the best week. we missed hannah though, she had to stay back with paki and tonks because of school. (she is the most responsible of all of us) calli had been on a cruise and ended her trip in l.a. and we picked her up at the harbor. my mom and dad drove down and arrived just in time for us to watch lost. the next day the gals went and got pedi's and shopped. while my dad got a bike ride in. the next day we went to the grove in l.a. it is a big outdoor mall and farmers market. we went there to distract my mom and told her that colt and my dad were going to a bike store. the truth was they were going to the airport to pick up chase. my mom wanted him to come so bad, but he told her he couldn't miss work. little did she know we had a big mother's day/birthday surprise for the best mom in the world! it was good we went to the grove because it was quite the distraction. nordstrom was having a huge event because steve madden was there. they gave us american apparel t-shirts and we got to meet him. there was a dj and apparently a famous vj from BET (i am not a frequent watcher, so i didn't know who she was) but, even with the mass of chaos heidi picked her son out from a mile away and went running to him, it was great! she was shocked.we had such a great time. we couldn't truly celebrate heidi without a stop at the magic kingdom. we have absolutely gotten our money out of the season passes. and our love for disney grows more every time. we also went to olvero street for some mexican food. the whole time we just ate and saw movies. the binghams favorite passtimes.

so my stylist job has slowed down a lot during the summer. i picked up another part time gig at the very zany, colorful, and fun t.v. show- YO GABBA GABBA! all of you with 2-5 year olds please tune in! it is on nick jr. and it is very entertaining. my friend's brothers created it and she is the big pink flower bubble named fufa. i am a production assistant there and it has been so fun. i get to watch all of the filming and eat great lunches from craft services. it has been amazing to see all that goes into these productions. it is a super laid back environment. people on bikes and skateboards singing songs about eating your veggies and sharing your toys. love it!

a couple weeks ago we got board and decided we wanted an adventure. tara's cousin carly and her husband oliver hiked machu picchu not too long ago, so we figures we would too. our peruvian guide took the pictures and if you ask me he did a terrible job. it make us look like we are just on some street in studio city and not really on the decent to the ancient city of machu picchu. see for your selves.

alright, we didn't really go to peru, but we did have an eventful week. stay tuned to find out all the crazy happenings in our lives. (spoiler alert) tara has a new bff who stars in their own daytime television show and who gave us monies.

this last week my school hosted a conference and i was able to make it to the last day. SERIOUS PLAY was the subject and name of the conference. there were some interesting speakers and the provided food and snacks were good. towards the end of the day i reached in my bag to get my sketch book and found that the can of coke i put in there earlier had a small hole and coke was misting out all over everything. so all my stuff was ruined and my leather bag had almost a whole coke in the bottom of it. that coupled with some dude rambling on about giant puppets kind of put me in a bad mood. i think i'm not really the conference type, but it was pretty enjoyable.

on the way to my first day of class a few months ago, i was pulled over for "failing to make a complete stop at a red light". what really happened is that i turned right on a yellow light and some wang cop pulled me over and made me late for my first class. fast forward a few months... i had a court date this morning at 9:00 am so i showed up and waited in all the lines and sat and waited, just waiting for the cop to show up and get the party started. after being forced into friendship with some lady who kept asking me questions about everything, i was called to the front and the clerk said my case was dismissed. i signed the papers and ran out of the courtroom happy as could be. so the system works i guess. i was just planning on showing up and exercising my right as a u.s. citizen and seeing what happens, and i don't know if the copper didn't show up, or what, but i will be getting a $160 back in the mail.

every first thursday the huntington library & gardens is free entry, so last thursday tara and i rode our bikes there and had a nice time. the library holds an unbelievable amount of rare and first edition books. apparently henry huntington was collecting with the goal of having a library comparable to that of the british museum. the highlight for me, was for sure the books. i have for about the last four years taken interest in building up a little library, maybe a modern day gentleman's library, but in the last few years i have taken more liking to the process and actual design of the books, so it was sweet to see the gutenberg bible and all the books from the 15 century and upward. there was some really amazing stuff there. tara on the other had couldn't get enough rose sniffing. i will admit there were various smells, but tara was acting a little strange. those things are like drugs. i really couldn't get her to leave.

degenerates mania & violation the dmv

wednesday tara and i figured that it was about time that we went and got our california drivers licenses. we had tried once before, much to my chagrin, but we didn't have the proper documentation, so wednesday we returned with all the cards, licenses and certificates. we had to wait in a line to get a number, then wait to get our number called, only to then have some dude who... i really cannot be nice and explain the incompetence of this man. but that is how most of the workers there are. i don't get it. i guess you would have to have something wrong with you to be okay with working at a place like that. then we had to take the written test. the lady who handed out and corrected the tests made the last guy look like miles davis. suffice it to say, she was absolutely confused about the whole entering and exiting of the testing room. she would boss people around making up rules and then after telling tara that she passed told me that i failed. so i had to take a second test, which thankfully i passed. all and all we spent a good four hours in that ell ole. what a fiasco. we love l.a. but you have got to love the convenience of strolling up to the davis county d.m.v and leaving fifteen minutes later with time to take a dip at lagoona beach.

(just as a friend) colt and i are taking advantage of his short summer break and doing as much as we can. i got us ellen tickets, we did the limbo with her! it was so fun. colt said they made eye contact and had a moment. i am way excited because we get to go back in a few weeks with my mom and calli for my mom's bday, can't wait!

biking through san marino

so a few weeks ago i read on a blog that this gal and her husband ride their bikes to boarders and get hot cocoa and look at magazines for a little date activity. i think since we have a boarders a few blocks away, and since scratch is a little scarce these days, we are going to try that out. yesterday, in light of the fact that gas is over $4.00/gallon now(i want to revolt), we decided to get out and use our bikes. we went over to the amazing city of san marino and rode our bikes around looking at all the houses and we rode around the huntington library. it was such a nice day and the houses are pretty nice too. here are a few of our favorites.

tim and nicole were kind enough to show us around lagoona and let us stay with them. it was fun to get to know them better and we heart lagoona beach. we went to church a block from the beach, we had a good dinner at cheesecake factory with them and their friends jo, brit and baby owen. good times, good times.

well after fourteen good weeks my first term at art center has come to an end. tara and i just got back from the senior show at my school and it was super wild and super inspiring. most of the work was of face melting / gut busting quality. there was so much talent in that building tonight. it is very humbling and inspiring. in my last class today, my professor said before we left: "everything you design will one day, sooner or later end up in a landfill. you are all talented designers but you are dispensable as designers, however you are not dispensable as sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brother and sisters.... so keep your priorities straight and a good perspective." i liked that.

i wanted to do a shout out ryan seacrest style (he does shout outs on the radio every morning), but my cute little brother isn't in l.a. (i wish) he is in seattle and all alone after a case of appendicitis! i called him the other day to complain about my foot cramping. i felt like a whiner after he said "oh, i am sorry. yeah i have been having severe cramping my my lower abdomen." after looking on web m.d. i told him to run to the hospital. he must have been in a lot of pain because he listened! we didn't hear from for hours. me and my mom were a little worried. (a lot worried, you know the bingham girls!) so, at two in the morning my dad calls ryan weed (chases roomie) he just laughed and said, "lance your boy is in surgury, he didn't call you?" no, he did not call us. but, he is doing good and running around parking cars already. chas, we love you........kul.

our love for everything sweedish continues to thrive! a few weeks ago we went into los angeles and saw little dragon (a sweedish band) at the roxy. unbelievable! it was one of the best shows i have ever seen. colt was so stoked on it he wrote them a thank you note on their myspace. these aren't the best photos, but the cute lead singer, yukimi couldn't stop grooving. she also sang with jose gonzales the other night, awesome...... WE WANT TO BE SWEEDED!

i felt just like julia roberts in pretty women as we stepped out to the santa anita race track! when, i was little my mom taped pretty women off of the t.v., she would let me watch the race track part and the shopping on rodeo drive. i loved it! (i promise that those were the only parts i saw.) so, this last week colt's dad, joanie, and grammy came out. we had a lot of fun. we went to the beautiful hunnington gardens, disneyland, and the races! the santa anita track is so beautiful. i felt like i was stepping back into the 1920's. the landscaping was immaculate, ladies in dresses and big hats, and the horses were breathtaking! we went down to pick out our choice to win. i fell in love with annie oakleaf. a beautiful, cherry black , underdog. we made eye contact and had a real moment, i knew she was going to win. she came in fourth. i guess i am not the horse whisperer, but i would still put my money on old annie!

while the folks were here, i had some much needed lessons in cooking! grammy is quite the gourmet along with joanie. i should say "don and joanie," they made a wonderful italian pasta called timbolo. we are still eating the left overs and loving it! grammy knows i have a fondness for the lemon and brought me a great magazine full of lemon delights! i made this cheesecake for you joyce, the love of the lemon part 2!

dog parks & dream houses

look at those houses! pasadena is so charming, we really love it here. not only is the architecture beautiful, but this place is dog friendly! we love heading to the dog parks on saturday mornings. dog people are the best. they are automatically your friend if you have a dog in toe. the other day we headed over to the park and moby was greeted by six beagles! it was so funny. they were the only breed around. so cute! moby was definitely the minority.

p.s. those pictures of those homes are when i got lost. you don't even have to look for neighborhoods like that, they are everywhere...... i almost stole this little guy!
