a friend or ours started a foundation called amigos of honduras two years ago, which thus far has funded a water project in two cities which have never before had running water, built two schools for the children of those cities and have started a pig farm for farmers who have lost all there crops in hurricane mitch. we have been fortunate enough to hear and see the results of this foundations work first hand. (well maybe second hand) they are permanently changing so many lives in a little country that needs a lot of help. anyone who is interested in donating or just checking out their website should go to amigosofhonduras.orgit is also nice to know that one hundred percent of all donations go straight to the projects in honduras.
